Knit this adorable holiday scarf full of Christmas cats!
On the first day of Christmas…. Cats are a joy at any time of year, but especially at Christmas. This fun festive scarf celebrates 12 different cats enjoying the holiday season. It’s purrfect to wear to a holiday party or a quiet evening with your cats!
Double knit, the scarf is designed for three colors (a main color and two contrasting colors) and is reversible, featuring opposite color schemes on each side. The design is somewhat similar in layout to several of my other MKAL scarves, such as Meowy Christmas Scarf. Since numbers are included for the 12 cats, small sections of the scarf include optional non-mirrored double knitting.
The suggested colors are white, green, and red: white for the main color (used throughout the scarf), and green and red for the contrast colors. Feel free to use only two colors if you like or substitute your own merry color combinations! Solid colors work best to show off the cute designs.
Instructions are included for the double knitting technique. The finished size of the scarf is approximately 70 inches (178 cm) in length and 5.5 inches (14 cm) in width.
